Material Lab · Melt Shop

Run the melt shop. Ship real alloys.

Catch the right atoms, keep slag out of the ladle, and pour coils of Cu-ETP, CuZn37, CuSn6 and CuNi18Zn20 — with real technical data on every coil you ship. Keyboard or touch, one screen, no signup.

Melt Shop

Orders come in for real strip alloys. Move the ladle to catch the atoms each recipe needs — Cu, Zn, Sn, Ni. Wrong atoms and slag contaminate the melt; two impurities and the ladle is scrapped. A falling P atom deoxidises a dirty melt, exactly like phosphorus does in a real tin-bronze shop.

Melt Shop is a training game. Recipes are simplified to atom counts and all cited values (conductivity, density, tensile ranges) are indicative guidance from the Aldward Metals technical library — not certified data, and no substitute for a controlled datasheet.
How it plays

The metallurgy is the game mechanic

Fill real recipes

Cu×3 pours Cu-ETP. Cu×2+Zn pours CuZn37 brass. Cu×2+Sn pours CuSn6 phosphor bronze. Cu+Ni+Zn pours CuNi18Zn20 nickel silver.

Keep the melt clean

A wrong element or a chunk of slag adds an impurity. Two impurities and the ladle is scrapped — you only get three per shift.

Phosphorus saves melts

When the melt is dirty, a green P atom appears now and then. Catch it and the melt is deoxidised — the same job P does in a real bronze shop.

Pass the QC gate

Every three coils, quality control asks one real technical question from the coil data you just shipped. Right answer, +250.
