How we handle information

This notice explains what happens to the information you send us when you ask about material or a quote.

Who we are

ALDWARD LIMITED, trading as Aldward Metals. Registered in England and Wales, company number 17517321. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. We are the controller of the information described here. Contact us at info@aldward.co.uk.

What we collect

This website has no accounts and no form that sends data to us. A quote request opens your own email app, so we receive only what you choose to send: usually your name, company, email address, phone number and the specification you need.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We use no analytics or advertising tools.

Why we use it

We use your information to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you order, supply the material. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before a contract, the contract itself, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries.

Who else handles it

Our email is provided by Google Workspace and this website is hosted by Cloudflare. They process data on our behalf and may do so outside the United Kingdom under the safeguards UK data protection law requires. If you place an order, we share only what is needed to make and deliver it with the producer and the carrier. We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to reply and follow up on the quote. If you place an order, we keep the related records for as long as UK company and tax law requires business records to be kept.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, and use the other rights UK data protection law gives you. Email info@aldward.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
